Sign up for intramural and pick-up sports leagues with GOAL!
GOAL! was my first UX Design project that I created. Growing up in Boston, I was always a big sports fan and I’ve been playing on an easy-going, Sunday-league Soccer team for over 6 years with my friends. I wanted to design an app for people like myself that always want to stay active and play pick-up games, but don’t have the time to commit to an intense sports league.

I started the design process with Paper Wireframes

I then took some of the ideas I liked from the rough wireframes and made them digital until I found a layout that I liked.

Examples of the lo-fi mockups of the Homepage (left) and the Sign Up Page (right).

Lo-fi prototype layout with connections needed for a Usability Study.
Insights:
Users liked the flow of signing up.
Some users would like the Profile Page to be easier tp find.
The menu tab was the easiest way for users to navigate.
Usability Study
After I had the first prototype completed I planned a usability study to see what could be updated and changed with my lo-fi design.
Questions:
How long does it take a user to find and sign up for workout classes or a sport?
How far would you travel to go to a workout class or play sports?
What sports or classes are you most interested in?
What can we learn about the steps the user takes to sign up for a class/activity
Were there any pain points for the user during the study?
Hi-fidelity designs
With the feedback I gained, I moved on to creating my hi-fi designs.
